Clacton Camera Club is Clacton's oldest photographic club. Formed in 1939, the club continues its ethos of making friends through photography, and it is just as much a social body as a photographic one. The club welcomes anyone who has an interest in photography, whatever their skill level or medium they use, be it film or digital. We provide a friendly atmosphere on a Friday evening combining competitions with guest speakers, members' workshops, fun events and demonstrations. Many of our members are highly experienced photographers and are happy to advise and assist newcomers. Please take a moment to browse our pages and, if you would like to come along to any of our meetings, you will be most welcome.

New programme for 2021/2
We are pleased to announce that our programme for 2021/22 is now available for viewing and will commence on 3 September 2021. Our weekly meetings will be held online (via Zoom) for the whole of the season.
Whilst free for members, we are making our online presentations available to non-members at a cost of £3** per event. To join any of our online presentations, please click the appropriate button adjacent to the event on the Programme page. Once your payment has been received, a link to the presentation will be supplied.
** We're looking forward to welcoming back fine art wildlife photographer Tom Way for our Annual Special Event on 11 March 2022, when his presentation will be 'The Greater Picture'. Please see our programme for more details. The cost to non-members for this talk will be £6.
As a result of the necessity of holding this season's open competition on Zoom, the normal categories of colour and mono prints have not been possible to include. The winners of the PDI competition are as follows;
2020/21 Open Competition
1st Jeff Cranwell - 55 points
2nd Steve Oliver - 52.5 points
3rd Colin Brett - 52 points
During our season which runs from September - May each year, workshops are run on a variety of subjects, including knowing the basics of your camera, working in mono etc - the subjects are determined by demand.
Being a member entitles you to attend the evening workshops that are of interest to you, helping you to develop your photographic skills.
