Welcome to the Clacton Camera Club Newsletter

Clacton members did extremely well in the selection of images to be displayed in the E.A.F. Exhibition. The selected images were as follows:-_

Colour prints:- Rosie Pines with ‘Degas Vu’ and Jean Pain with ‘Cloisters’

Digital images:- Brian Murphy ‘Red Squirrel’, Rosie Pines ‘Rainy Day Dreams’, Ron Pain ‘Derwent Water’, Jean Pain ‘Oil Can’, Joan Baines ‘Curved Petal’, Ken Royall ‘Am I Bothered’, ‘Amur Leopard’, ‘Tudor Alchemist’ and Colin Brett gained a Highly Commended for his image ‘Venetian Blue’.

Further to this, Jean Pain and Ken Royall’s prints, ‘Cloisters and Tudor Alchemist’ were chosen by the E.A.F. to represent them in the National PAGB Exhibition.

On Friday the club thoroughly enjoyed the talks and images shown by members; Colin and Jennifer Brett on ‘Animals in Kenya’ and Chris Pinner views of his recent ‘Around the World’ trip.

On Sunday over 30 members enjoyed an enthralling day of digital lectures led by Ursula and Mike Fuller leading us from taking the image , in camera, right through to producing a quality print.

This Friday sees the last competition of the season. ‘The Picture of the Year’. Two images are allowed in each section and the judge for this event is Peter Norris.
