If you are resident, or visiting the area, you might like to know that there are a number of Clubs in the town that offer different ways of enjoying the photographic experience.

To help you decide which Club might be for you we have detailed below the main Clubs, together with a brief outline of what they offer.

Clacton Camera Club

We provide a friendly atmosphere on a Friday evening combining competition, (print and digital format) with guest speakers, members workshops, fun events, and demonstrations. Primarily our Club enjoys showing images, challenging our own level of photography by viewing others’ work in a sociable and encouraging environment. We do not teach but are happy to advise and assist as requested.

We have a separate Digital evening , once monthly, on a Thursday, when members explore the digital medium learning together more about Photoshop, AV’s , digital printing etc. We meet from September to May and break in the summer. The Club evening are supplemented by social and fund raising events throughout the year. The Club has recently developed an Association with Colbayns High School ( Media Arts College) to encourage youngsters into photography.
